Garcia, Barbara Furrow

Barbara Ellen Furrow Garcia, 50, of Newport, Virginia passed on Sunday, May 27, 2007. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry A. Furrow and sister, Brenda Furrow Burkholder.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gilbert Garcia of Newport; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Josh Williams of Pearisburg; son and daughter-in-law, John David and Tammy Smith of Pembroke; son, Mason Williams and fiance Morgan Quesenberry, and special friend Steve Williams, of New Castle. She also has three wonderful grandchildren, Hunter and Joshlyn Williams and Parker Smith; sisters, Betty Allen of Roanoke, Bonnie Grubb of Christiansburg, Becky and Melvin Hutchinson of New Castle, Beverly Phipps of Blacksburg, and Beth Shepherd of Christiansburg; brother, John Furrow of Christiansburg; also several nieces and nephews.

Barbara was an amazing wife, mother, nanny and sister. We all love you and you will truly be missed.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery Blacksburg. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Tuesday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg, Va.
