Gallimore, Ovilla Phillips

Ovilla Mabel Gallimore, 81, of Indian Valley, passed away Sunday March 9, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Mattie Phillips Cox; sisters, Avis Cox and Ethelene Hanky; brother, Richard Cox; brother-in-law, Troy Gallimore; and sister-in-law, Dorsie G. Weddle.

She is survived by her husband, Monroe Grant Gallimore; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin Cox, Carl and Vada H. Cox, and Joseph and Glenna S. Cox; sisters, Gertrude Harris, Ruth Talbert, Muriel Hollandsworth, Kate Phillips and Minnie Turman.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday March 12, 2008, at the Willis Full Gospel Church, with the Rev. Nathan Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Lawrence Marshall and to the Doctors and Nurses at Montgomery Regional Hospital.
