Gallimore, Clarence Emerson
Clarence Emerson Gallimore, age 98 of Pulaski, died Sunday August 12, 2012 in Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born February 10, 1914 in Wythe Co., Va., and was the son of the late Mintie Jonas Gallimore and Arthur Wilson Gallimore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Pearl Rosenbaum Gallimore, & 2 brothers; Harold Wilson Gallimore & Claude Blake Gallimore. Mr. Gallimore is a retired railroad carman for the N&W /Norfolk Southern Railroad with 43 years of service. In retirement years, Mr. Gallimore was employed as an engineer/fireman for Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock, NC. He was actively involved in the restoration of the Pulaski Railroad Station and Museum. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 69 years. He is survived by his son; James E. Gallimore of Cleveland, TN: a sister; Emma Frances Gallimore: 1 grandson & 2 great grandsons. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 24, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Terrie Sternberg officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
