Gaines, Lynn Edwin

Lynn Edwin Gaines, age 61, of Blacksburg went to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 16, 2017, at his home. He was born in Washington, D.C. on February 9, 1956 to the late Robert C. and Velma Lee Miller Gaines. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beth Gaines; brother, Robert Gaines, Jr.; brother-in-law, Ron Hodge; and sister-in-law, Sara Gaines. He is survived by his daughter, Kerrie Austera; step-daughter, Alex; son, Jacob Gaines; sisters, Darlene Hodge, Ann Self and husband, Neal; brothers, Fred Gaines, Wayne Gaines and wife, Dot, Joseph Gaines and wife, Sharron, Bruce Gaines and wife, Cindy; granddaughters, Lilith Austera, and Anna Gaines; and sister-in-law, Judy Peeler. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Blacksburg First Wesleyan Church with Pastor John Hopkins officiating.
