Alvin Wade Furrow Jr., 51, of Elliston, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. He was born in Montgomery County, Va., on October 22, 1959. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin W. Furrow; and sister, Pamela R. Price. He is survived by his mother, Loretta W. Furrow, of Elliston; sisters, Sandra Akers and husband, Dennis, of Salem, Va., and Tammy Walters and husband, Jeff, of Elliston, Va.; brother, Ricky Furrow, of Elliston, Va.; and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Gayhearts Cemetery in Elliston, Va., with Pastor Dusty Etter officiating.
