Grace Rutherford Frost, 96, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

She was the last surviving child of William Floyd Rutherford and Lillie Bell Chisenhall Rutherford. She was married to the late Kenneth M. Frost for 57 years and was a retired teacher. She was a long-time member of Main Street Baptist Church where she served in many capacities including as a deaconess. In recent years she was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Throughout the years she was a member and officer of several civic and charitable organizations. She led a life of service to her family, friends, neighbors, church, and community.

Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Terry Neate of Roanoke, Va. and Becky and Bob Randolph of Kannapolis, N.C.; four grandchildren, Greg Neate of Waynesboro, Pa., Susan Neate of Roanoke, Va., and Jennifer Mullins and John Randolph, both of Kannapolis, N.C. Survivors also include three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The family would like to extend sincere appreciation to Ruth Smith, Dr. Kenneth Jones, and the staffs of Wheatland Retirement Community, Heritage Hall Rehabilitation Center and Montgomery Regional Hospital for their devoted care of Mrs. Frost. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2007 at Horne Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2007 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Dr. David Goodpasture officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
