French, Sally Frazier
Sally Louise Frazier French of Rich Creek, Virginia went to be with the Lord and was greeted by her parents Earl Junior and Margaret Elizabeth Frazier on April 18, 2025. Sally was born on December 10, 1952, in Marytown, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Junior and Margaret Elizabeth Frazier and her first husband, Dennis Garland Burdette, Sr. Sally is survived by her husband Richard (Dickie) Carr French of Rich Creek, Va.; children: Lisa and Scott Dawson of Dublin, Va.; Dennis Garland (Junebug) Burdette, Jr. and Amy of Pembroke; Tina Burdette Kenny of Galax, Va.; Brittany Burdette of Narrows, Va. and Brianna French of Pearisburg, Va.; her siblings: June (Cookie) Honaker of Lindside. WV , Earl Buster and Kathy Frazier of Bozoo, WVa.; Scott and Karen Frazier of Peterstown, WV.; Dana and Mary Frazier of Wiekle, WV.; Beatrice (Sissy) Frazier of Pearisburg, Va.; Eric and Millie Frazier of Lindside, WV.; grandchildren: Caitlyn (Matt) Noe, Nathan (Maggie) Rice, Brock Dawson, Haley Dawson, Austin Burdette, Brooklynn (John II) Mustain, Braxton (Lola) Gilmer, Madyson Gilmer, Trent (Tori) McBride, Harlee McBride and Everlee (Evie Lou) Clark; Great-grandchildren: Carson Noe, Asher Rice, Aubrey, Emersynn and Mabry Mustain, Liam and Nolan Burdette.
She was known to many as Mama Sally and by her family as Mawmaw Sally. She loved her family fiercely. She was loved for her infectious laugh. She was a feisty mix of her grandmother, Big Mommy, and her mother, Grandma. That combined with her big heart and gentle soul made her one of the most loved ladies that God ever created. No one loved to scratch a lottery ticket and people watch more than Sally. She made many friends during her years of serving the community at Anna’s Restaurant and Central Restaurant. She will be missed immensely by her family and everyone that knew her.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Matt Noe, Austin Burdette, John Mustain, Brock Dawson, Braxton Gilmer, Nathan Rice and Trent McBride.
There will be a visitation held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with funeral services following officiated by James Wagner. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, Va.
