French, Rosetta O’Dell

Rosetta Florence O’Dell (Rose) French, 69, of Hiwassee Road, Snowville Community, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at her home.

Born March 10, 1939, in Hiwassee she was the daughter of Annie Cole O’Dell and the late Lonnie B. O’Dell. She was retired from Radford University with over 15 years of service.

She is survived by her husband, Larry French, of Snowville; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Ray Overby, of Richmond, Va., and Dreama and Jon Vosburg, of Richmond, Va.; mother, Annie Cole O’Dell, of Pulaski; stepson, James French and wife, Carrie, of Roanoke, Va.; brother, Terry Dewayne O’Dell and wife, Fonda, of Hiwassee; four grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; close and dear friends, Janice Collins, Helen Cottle and Hattie James; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday morning, July 17, 2008, at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Jimmy Garland officiating. Interment will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, July 16, 2008, at the Bower Funeral Home, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.
