Freeman, Elva Jones

Elva Jones Freeman, 95, of Pulaski, Va., died on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at her home. She was born in Pulaski, Va., on July 4, 1917, and was the daughter of the late James Thomas Jones and Eliza Mabe Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garnett Freeman; a son, Douglas Edward Freeman; a grandson, Greg West; three sisters; and one brother. Surviving are daughters and son-in-law, Barbara Freeman, of Pulaski, and Janice and Danny Zeoli, of Dublin; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Beulah Freeman, of Botetourt County, Va.; granddaughters and spouses, Kim and Chris Stafford, of Dublin, and Kathy and Chris DeFalco, of Roanoke; grandsons and spouses, Richard Freeman Jr. and Dawn, of Botetourt County, Va., Keith and Angie Freeman, of Botetourt County, Va., and Barry Freeman, of Chesapeake, Va.; six great- grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013, from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be held on Thursday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from noon until the service hour.
