Frazier, Daniel Clark
Daniel Clark “Dan” Frazier, age 84, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019, at the Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA. Born July 20, 1935, in Bozoo, WV, he was the son of the late Isaac Houston and Euna Lee Frazier.
After 36 years of service, Dan retired from the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey as Chief of Party, where his work aided and contributed to USA Moonshot Apollo Program and modern day GPS and mapping systems. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and of the Christian faith and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Richard “Rick” Frazier; and one brother, Isaac Dale Frazier. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy Long Frazier; one son, David L. Frazier of Bozoo, WV; grandchildren, Daniel Frazier and wife Kendra, Kayla Morgan and husband Mike, Chris Frazier and wife Alisha, and Annie Frazier; and six great grandchildren, Raegan, Aubree, Addison, Ricky, Chase, and Gage.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Darrell Mann and Michael Long officiating. Burial will follow at Peterstown Cemetery in Rich Creek, VA. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
