William Donald Franklin Sr., 82, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011, at his home in Radford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lakey June Franklin; and his mother, Mary McCraw Franklin. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Jerry Farmer, of Radford; two sons and daughters-in-law, William D. and Dreama Franklin Jr., of Radford, and Barry and Deanna Franklin, of Covington, Ga.; father, the Rev. Sam Franklin, of Radford; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters and brother-in-law, Wanda Lawson, of Radford, Frances Jones, of Maryland, Phyllis and Paul Harris, of Christiansburg, and Cynthia Crosier of Radford; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2011, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Jerry Gibson and the Rev. Jim Walker officiating. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2011, at the Pentecostal Conference Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
