Anita Davis Franklin, 41, of Radford, went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 8, 2006 at Carilion New River Medical Center.

She was a faithful member of the New Hope Church of God for 18 years. She sang with a group from her church and loved all of the members of her church, and also from her work.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Davis; and her grandparents, Harvey and Edna Whittaker and Woodrow and Carrie Davis.

Surviving are her mother, Teresa W. Davis, Parrott; four daughters and spouses, Beth Jimenez and James Vaughan, Jr., Ashley Franklin, Crystal Franklin and Preston Farmer, Radford, and Beverly Franklin and Chris Graham, Shawsville; two sons and their spouses, Mark Franklin and Teri Oliver, Radford and Kenny and Amanda Franklin, Shawsville; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorrie and Mike Andrews, Linda and Johnny Franklin and Sandra Viars, all of Parrott, and Mary and Richard Hunter, Floyd; four grandchildren, Brooklyn and Gavan Graham, Daron (DD) Norris and James Vaughn III. Along with special friends, Mavenlene Lucas, Lillian Hendricks, Hazel Keith, Roxanne Bond, and Randy Duncan also survive.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at the New Hope Church of God with the Rev. Michael Bond, the Rev. James Walker and the Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Radford. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the New Hope Church of God.
