Frank, Virginia Louise

Virginia Louise (Jenny) Frank, 60, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013, at her home in Radford. She was born in Dante, Va., daughter of the late Eugene Dingus. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ricky Dingus. Jenny loved her Lord, her family and her friends. She will be truly missed, but not forgotten by those that she loved.

Jenny began her working career with Pittston Coal Company in the IT Department, retiring in 1988 with over 20 years of service. She worked as a Senior Secretary for the Virginia Department of State Police in the Castlewood office of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations and later at their headquarters’ in Richmond. She recently retired from Virginia Tech with 20 plus years of service, where she was a Public Relations Specialist for the Mobile Portable Radio Research Group/Wireless (MPRG) in the Department of Electrical Engineering. She is survived by her husband, Michael Frank; her mother, Cleo Dingus, of Castlewood; one sister, Shirley Wolfe and husband, Radford, of Wise; two brothers, Ronnie Dingus and wife, Faye and Roger Dingus and wife, Carla, both of Bristol, Va. She is also survived by a host of nephews and nieces that she loved a great deal. Funeral services for Virginia Louise ” Jenny” Frank will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Va., with the Rev. Arville Dingus and Pastor Danny Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood. Pallbearers will be Chris Dingus, Dan Dingus, Roy Glovier, Jimmy Glovier, Brian Mullins and Randy Mullins. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2013, at Castlewood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
