Fore, Elizabeth A.

Elizabeth A. (Betty) Fore of Blacksburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 26, 2018.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John R. (Dick) Fore; children: Mark (Judy), Jacksonville, FL; Barbara, Richmond, VA; Gary, Sacramento,CA; Jackie (Mike) Dye, Birmingham, AL; Lisa (Joe) Meek, Dublin, VA; Mary (Steve) Johnson, Christiansburg, VA; sister, Kay Warner, Naples, FL; brother, David Richter, Costa Rica; aunt, Grace McGinley Barton, Spring Green, WI; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Margaret McGinley Richter and sister, Rosemary Van Loenen.

Betty attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and retired as a secretary from the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blacksburg, VA. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral mass. Reception and graveside to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Betty’s name to the charity of your choice.
