Forbes, Terri Wimmer

Terri Lee Wimmer Forbes, 64 of Glen Lyn, VA. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Terri was born on November 7, 1957, in Pearisburg, VA and was the daughter of Andy Jack Wimmer and Gracie June Raines Wimmer of Narrows. She was preceded in death by her brother Randy Craig Wimmer.

Terri was a 1975 graduate of Scott High School in Madison, WV and received her RN Degree in Lexington, KY. She started working at Princeton Community Hospital before moving to Richmond, VA. She then worked at the McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond until she became disabled. Since 2004 she has lived in Glen Lyn, where she enjoyed working with flowers and she enjoyed making craft jewelry.

Besides her parents, she is survived by one sister, Connie Jean Wimmer of Narrows and her furry cat companion “Prissy.”

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 12, 2022, at 2pm at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows with Pastor Merrell Hedrick officiating with burial following in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, VA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service from 1 – 2pm.
