flinchum_william_mckinleyWilliam McKinley Flinchum, 64, of Blacksburg, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at UVA Medical Center. He was born in Montgomery County, Va. on September 18, 1951 to the late William Charles “Bud” and Barbara Ruth Shrewsberry Flinchum.

William was the owner and operator of W.C. Flinchum and Sons Excavating Contractors in Blacksburg.

He is survived by his faithful and loving friend, Brenda L. Martin; special children, Amanda Savage, Danny Savage, Travis Savage; special grandchildren, Landen Perkins, Samuel Savage, Ava Dickerson, Silas Savage; estranged wife, Dianne Flinchum of Blacksburg; sister, Judy F. Morehead of Blacksburg; brother, Robert C. “Bobby” Flinchum of Floyd; nephews, Perry “P.J.” Morehead, Jr., Eric Flinchum, Aaron Flinchum, Joey Flinchum; niece, Crystal Morehead; great-nephew, Patrick Deven Polly; special sister-in-law, Sandra Fisher, and her children, Maggie, Morgan; and the rest of the Martin Family.

Funeral Services will be held Privately. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W. Blacksburg, Va.
