Oakley D. Flinchum, 71, of Pulaski, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, June 1, 2008 at his home. Born October 5, 1936 in Pulaski County, son of the late Ida Mae Andrews.

He was a long time employee and retiree of Volvo GM and a member of the Brush Arbor Worship Center. He was a very loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also a very kind hearted man and a great friend to many and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 47 years , June Flinchum, Pulaski; son and special friend , John Flinchum and Shirley Thomas, Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Greg Quesenberry, of Radford; grandchildren, Anthony Flinchum and wife, Felisha, Houston, Texas, Travis Talbert, Radford, Heather Flinchum, Pulaski, Cory Quesenberry and Nick Quesenberry, Radford; great-grandchildren, Haleigh Talbert, Pulaski, Romulo and Adriauna Jacob, Houston, Texas; special nieces and nephew, Dayna, Belinda and nephew, Kyle ; special devoted pets, Sambe and Rusty.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, with Pastor Carson Linkous officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
