Flick, Clare Kelly

Clare Kelly Flick passed away in Blacksburg, VA at the age of 99 on January 1, 2015. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Joseph Flick, Sr., her son Terrence John Flick, and her parents, Clare Mary Casey Kelly and William Comerford, Kelly, Sr., a sister Marcelle Kelly Harris, and two brothers, Meade P. Kelly and William C. Kelly, Jr.

She is survived by her son, George Joseph Flick, Jr.(Charlene), Blacksburg, VA; grandchildren, Lesley Flick Moore (Glenn), Fredericksburg, VA; George J. Flick, III (Rebecca), Leesburg, VA; Jason E. Flick, Washington, D.C.; Daniel P. Flick (Monica), Tomball, TX; and Kenneth W. Flick, Elizabeth A. Flick and Gregory J. Flick (Erin), all of Metairie, LA. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, Ariana and Jenna Flick of Texas and Allyson and Katelyn Moore and George (Robbie) and Reese Flick of Virginia.

Clare, a native New Orleanian, was a former employee of New Orleans Charity Hospital and the Archdiocesan of New Orleans School Food Services. She was a former member of the American School Food Service Association, the Louisiana School Food School Service Association, and the Just for Fun Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at (11:00) with visitation beginning at (9:00).
