Fletcher III, James Wallace Jackson

James Wallace Jackson Fletcher III, 63, of Roanoke, and formerly of Giles County, departed this life on Wednesday morning, April 18, 2012, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke from injuries sustained when struck by a vehicle.

Born in Giles County on March 19, 1949, he was a son of the late James W. Fletcher II and Rowena Davis Fletcher. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jane Trout Fletcher.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Wendy Fletcher Lawson, of Richmond, Va.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2012, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening, April 21, 2012, from 5 until 7 p.m.
