Fletcher, Hilda Frances

Hilda Frances Fletcher, 81, of Ripplemead, departed this life Friday afternoon, February 13, 2015, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke after a short illness.

Born in Narrows November 18, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Sidney Cover and Jennie Woodyard Lamb. She had been employed at the Celanese Plant and operated Fletchers Trailer Court, and was a beloved mother and grandmother.

Hilda was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Wallace R. Fletcher; her brother, Gerald Lamb Sr.; her sons-in-law, David Bratton and Robert Quesenberry; her daughter-in-law, Carol Blankenship; and her sister Syble Bradley.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Darrell Blankenship, of Pearisburg, and Garland Blankenship and his wife, Lisa, of Rich Creek; her daughters, Donna Bratton, of Ripplemead, and Rhonda Quesenberry, of Ripplemead; her sister, Mary Dennis, of Vinton; her grandchildren, Kieth and Linda Bratton, Mark Quesenberry, Rochelle Quesenberry, Eric and Chrissy Quesenberry, Jennie Blankenship; her great-grandchildren, J T Thompson, Rhianna Thompson, Mara Kay Lawson, Genesis Quesenberry, Eric Jr. Quesenberry and Leander Quesenberry; and her beloved dogs, Little Bit and Mia.

Memorial services will be conducted 7 p.m. Monday at Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead with Pastors Shahn Wilburn, Ward Harris, and Terry Easter officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church two hours before the services. Hilda had requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to Faith Overseas Mission, Dr. James Parker, Riverview Baptist Church, 217 Big Stoney Creek Road, Ripplemead, VA 24150.
