Edward Dow Fleshman, 75, of Wolf St. in Narrows, VA departed this life Sunday morning, March 3, 2019 at his home in the loving care of his family. Born in Giles County on June 22, 1943, he was a son of the late Roy Hunter and Nannie Catherine Buckland Fleshman.

“Eddie” was a veteran of the U S Army and retired from the Celanese Plant at Narrows as an insulator mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Barbara Jones and Cathy Gentry and his brother Gary Riddle.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 49 years Cynthia Jones Fleshman; his daughters Anna Clark of Narrows, Catherine Elizabeth Wilson (Steve) of Narrows, and Rebecca Fleshman of Narrows; his grandchildren Lake Johnston, Kailey Wiscarson, Karah Sadler, Kennedy Sadler, and Nicole Clark; his brothers Buggs Riddle (Sue) of Narrows, James Riddle (Edna) of Glen Lyn and Ronnie Riddle of Pearisburg; his sisters Marsha Meadows of Blacksburg and Vickie Vaught (Joe) of Narrows; Cynthia’s family whom he dearly loved as his own and his everyday buddy “Mattie” his dog.
