Flesher, Virginia Hope
Virginia Elizabeth Hope Flesher, 91, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Heritage Hall Health Care Center.
She was born in Greenland, Arkansas on November 30, 1916 to the late Benjamin J. and Annie Braford Hope; also preceded in death by her husband, Granville S. Flesher and a brother, Benjamin B. Hope.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Jeff Walters, of Blacksburg; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Michele Flesher of Proctorville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Rebecca Walters, Christopher Walters, and Evan Flesher; and special friends, Bill and Sue Keith of Harrisville, W.Va.
Virginia attended Radford College (University) and West Virginia University, majoring in home economics. She was an accomplished quilter and knitter and enjoyed music, art and travel.
Thanks to the staff at Wheatland Christiansburg, Heritage Hall Blacksburg and Carilion Hospice for their care.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 27, 2007 at 2 p.m. in St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time at the Church. Arrangements by McCullough-Rogers and Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, W.Va.
