Fleemon, Emmett Junior

Emmett Junior Fleeman, 73 of Narrows went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 21st, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family.

A lifelong resident of Giles County, he was born on September 4th, 1933 and was the son of the late John David and Cindy Robertson Fleeman. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Bernice Thorne Fleeman. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Milton Fleeman.

Emmett was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time on his special part of the mountain known as Sentinel Point in Narrows.

He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Rhonda and Marvin Perkins; two sons and their wives, Ronnie and Debbie Fleeman, and Marty and Rita Fleeman, all of Narrows; six grandchildren, Heather Moore, Norman Perkins and fianc?e? Susan Noble, Chad Fleeman and wife Melia, Amber Caldwell and husband Josh, Heath Fleeman and wife Jennifer, and Anthony Brown; twelve great-grandchildren, Alex, Ian, Connor, Courtland, Parker, Emma, Cade, Cole, Cory, Terrell, Braydon, and Ashton; one brother and his wife, James and Carol Fleeman of Narrows; one sister, Helen Blankenship of Narrows; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 26th, 2007 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Rev. Jim Hagy officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service Friday from 6 to 8 PM. The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
