Fizer, Vernon Walter

Vernon Walter Fizer, 86, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 at his home in Radford. He was retired from Hercules. He was preceded in death by his son, Leon Fizer. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ethel Sutphin Fizer; sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Pamela Fizer of Pilot, Vernon E. Fizer of Draper, Mason H. “Button” and Darlene Fizer of Hiwassee, and George “Peanut” and Debbie Fizer of Dublin; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm.
