Fisher, Connie Gail

Connie Gail Fisher, 68, of Pembroke, departed this life Wednesday evening, May 4, 2016 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg after a long illness. Born in Waiteville, W.Va. on September 25, 1947 she was a daughter of the late Frank Spencer Eppling, Dolly Janett Porterfield Williams, and Lois S. Eppling,

She was a member of the Pembroke Assembly of God, retired from the Celanese Plant at Narrows, and a graduate of Giles High School Class of 1965.

Preceding her in death, her parents; her infant daughter, Robin Renea Fisher; and her sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Alfred Anderson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted and loving husband James Kent Fisher Sr.; her son and daughter-in-law, Bubby and Mellissa Fisher of Pembroke; her daughters and sons in law, Angie and Mike Falls of Eggleston and Kim and Chris Neice of Pembroke; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Monte and the late Irma Eppling of Pembroke, Ricky and Teri Eppling of Pembroke, and Tommy Epperly of Dublin; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Mike Epperley of Blacksburg and Merinda and Jeff Williams of Pembroke; and her beloved grandchildren, Cody Fisher, Kent Falls, Megan Fisher, and Noell Neice; and a host of dear nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the Pembroke Assembly of God with Pastors Terry Eversole and Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the church two hours before the service.
