Finn, Sr., Rome Garland

Rome Garland Finn, Sr., age 83 of Pulaski passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery,Blacksburg. Born July 30, 1929 in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late Luther Fate Finn and Dorothy Crowder Finn.

A daughter, Kathy Finn Simpkins; one sister, Ellen Laura, and brothers, Jim, Joe, Ralph, Lebron and Leonard Finn , great granddaughter, Abbie Cole ,also preceded him in death.

He was a past employee of Coleman Furniture with 34 years of service and Pulaski Furniture for over 11 years.

Surviving is his wife of 57 years- Virginia May Edwards Finn- Pulaski, Sons- Rome Garland Finn, Jr. and wife, Lesley-Christiansburg, Charles Finn and friend, Heather Boothe-Pulaski, Daughters- Dayna Spence and husband, Danny-Newbern, Loretta Witt-Dublin. Nine Grandchildren- Three Step-Grandchildren- Sixteen Great Grandchildren- Two Step Great Grandchildren- One Great Great Grandson. Sister- Elizabeth Goad and husband, Garfield-Pulaski, Brother – Safford Finn and wife, Delores-Pulaski. Family Friend- Allen Kypers.

Funeral services will be held Monday 2:00 p.m. , May 20, 2013 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Randall Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Hufford Cemetery, Pulaski The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
