Finley, Shelia Rebecca

Shelia Rebecca Finley, affectionately known as “Cissy,” gained her wings on August 15, 2025, after a strong and courageous battle with cancer.

Much like the Leo sign Shelia Finley was born under her heart was filled with beauty and love, and that is how she treated the world. Especially her daughter, Adrianne L. Finley-Lewis, her son Julian K. Finley, her grandchildren Jadea Finley, Jalen Finley, Bryce Finley, Bethany Finley, Latrell (Jasmine) Thomas, Ja’Waune (Rachal) Finley, and Addison Thomas. Her siblings Carylon Porter, Robin Hunter, Wanda Finley, Joyce Finley, Terry (Pam) Finley, and Rickey (Trina) Finley. She didn’t stop with her family by blood, she also built a spiritual family that included a Soul brother, Darrell Webb and Spiritual Neice, Christina Lewis.

And though Shelia will be missed by her living family. It brings comfort to know she was greeted in Paradise by her Mother, Chaine Trueheart, Father, James W. Finley, Sister, Dale Palmer, Brother, James “Butch Finley, and so many friends and family she lost along the way.

Shelia was a bright light in the lives of all that knew her.

And much to her nature she left the world with one final message: “Love one another. Live—really live, and don’t forget me.”

Shelia Rebecca Finley will never be forgotten. Stars that burn twice as bright always burn out far too soon.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 29, 2025, 2:00PM at First Baptist Church 220 Magazine Street, Pulaski. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Service Pulaski (540)980-9100.
