Shirley Imogene Campbell Fields of Newbern, passed away at her home on Saturday November 23, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Fields and her son, James W. “Pete” Fields.

She was born in Russell county, on December 14, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Lucille Warner Campbell. Mrs. Fields was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and will be sadly missed by all.

Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl Fields Morris; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Peggy Fields; daughter-in-law, Dreama B. Fields; brother and his wife, Charlie Robert and Doris Campbell; aunt, Helen Warner; grandsons, Jeremy Morris, Matt and Amanda Fields; granddaughters, Audrey Fields, Megan and Joe Sowers, Candi and Nick Yates; four great-granddaughters, and two great-granddaughters on the way; numerous cousins; and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday evening November 26, 2013 at 7p.m. from the Community Christian Church, Newbern with the Rev. Ernie Depew officiating. Entombment will be held Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. from the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin. The Family will receive friends at the Community Christian Church from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening before the service.
