Andy Eli Fender, 82, of Foster Falls, Va., passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013. He was born on August 24, 1931, son of the late Doctor C. Fender and Adah Crouse Fender and was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mabry Fender; son-in-law, Jesse McGlothlin; and two brothers, James and D. C. Fender.

Andy was a United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a supervisor of maintenance at the University of Maryland Hospital.

He is survived by two daughters, Patricia and Roger Turpin, of Pulaski, Va., and Sandy McGlothlin, of Foster Falls, Va.; one son, Frank and Drema Fender, of Draper, Va.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Aaron Roop, of Shiloh, Va., and Chris Fender, of Bremerton, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2013, at the Reese Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend W. David Hoover and Cecil Mabry officiating. Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the Mabry Cemetery in Foster Falls. Grover King Post #1115 VFW will conduct Graveside Military Rites. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until service time.
