James Arthur Feeny, Jr., 71, of Radford, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2006 after a long battle with Parkinson Disease and Alzheimer’s.

He was a U.S. Marine Sgt., having served during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, James, Sr., and Zerola H. Feeny, and two brothers, Charles Allen Feeny, Sr. and Irison Ray Feeny, Sr.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Elsie T. Feeny of Radford; three sons and daughter-in-law, Danny Feeny and Jimmy Feeny, III, both of Radford, and Steven and Jennifer Feeny of Troutville; four grandchildren, Megan Feeny, April Feeny and Rebecca Feeny, all of Radford, and Michael Feeny of Christiansburg; three sisters, Betty and Bobbie Jean Gynn, both of Ridgeway, and Jane Webb of Martinsville; and four brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed Feeny of Spencer, Sanders Feeny and Garland and Mary Feeny, all of Martinsville, and John and Brenda Feeny of Ridgeway.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. www.mullinsfuneralhome.com.
