Katherine Johnson Farrow transitioned from this life April 25, 2017 at Lewis Gale Medical Center. Katherine Johnson Farrow was born on May 16, 1921 in Newport News, VA to the late Henry and Lula Johnson. Katherine was educated in Bluff City and Baptized at an early age. Her favorite ting in life was God, Family and friends. She loved working in her flower garden. She continued to work until her health failed. She walked to and from work daily when you saw Katherine walking she was easy to recognize because of her favorite color “RED”. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Frank Farrow, son, Benny Farrow, daughter, Rebecca Watkins, brothers, Oakey, Lobby, Nathaniel, Cub and Ruby Johnson and a sister, Juanita Beaver. Left to cherish her legacy and memory are children, Delois (David) Mickens, Barbara Koonce (Alvin), Tyrone Farrow (Karen) Sherwood Farrow and Philip Farrow, sisters, Marie Morgan and Elizabeth Barnes, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 15 great,-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, special niece, Hattie Calfe, special Loyal friend, Peggy McMillan, best friend, Mrs. Louise Brooks, caregiver, Cordelia Morris “Tiny”, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017, 2:00PM with family visitation at 1:00PM at the Schaffer Memorial Baptist Church, Christiansburg, VA. Interment in the Schaffer Memorial Community Cemetery.
