Farmer, Kenneth Rudolph
Kenneth Rudolph Farmer, age 93 of Pulaski died late Sunday night February 2, 2014 at Lewis Gale Memorial Hospital in Salem. He was born June 21, 1920 in Carroll County, and was the son of the late Annie Mae Smith Farmer and Frederick Walter Farmer. He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran, and was also a Pulaski Town Councilman in the 1960’s. He and his wife of 65 years, Theda Marie Pezzanite Farmer owned and operated Rudolph’s Studio and then later Theda’s Studio in Pulaski for over 60 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pulaski. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Marsha Lorraine Farmer; and all his siblings: brothers, Marvin Farmer, Herbert Farmer, Donald Farmer and Gray Farmer; sisters, Stella Murphy, Mary Bryant, Helen Buckner, Dorothy Witcher and Margaret Vanhoy. He is survived by two sons: Kenneth Rudolph “Beau” Farmer, II of Lake Elmo, MN, and Michael Anthony “Randy” Farmer of Nashville, TN; three daughters: Theda Kay Farmer Hunley of Fairfax, Angelina Robinette Farmer Fowler of Pope, MS, and Kathryn Regina Farmer Buck of Callands, VA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Melissa McNair-King officiating. Interment will follow in Thornspring Cemetery with military honors. Visiting will be held Wednesday evening at Seagle Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated, but those who wish may make contributions in his memory to the First Presbyterian Church, 408 N.
