Farmer, James William

James W. (Jim) Farmer, formerly of Radford, passed away Friday, May 30, 2008, in Chesapeake.

He is survived by a daughter, Ramona Wicker, of Chesapeake; a son, James “Jamie” Farmer and his wife, Marcia, of Va. Beach; four grandchildren, Renee Lyna, of Chesapeake, Brian Swisher and his wife, Brandy, of Newport News, and Emily and Amber Farmer, of Va. Beach; and three great-grandchildren, Tara Lyna, Alec Edwards and Dylan Swisher. He is also survived by a sister, Dolly Sadler, of Narrows: and a brother, Bobby Farmer and his wife, Eula, of Radford.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Roland Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford.
