Edward Lee Farmer, 81, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a retired truck driver with VDOT. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn C. Farmer, his parents, Robert Graham and Emiline Duncan Farmer, son Robert, stepsons Elton and Lee Collins, one sister and three brothers. Survivors include three sisters, Mary Alger and Betty McPeak, both of Fairlawn, and Lillie Nester, of Dublin; two brothers, Vernon Farmer, of Elbert, W.Va. and Mack Farmer, of Dublin; a grandson, Matthew Price; two stepgrandchildren, Brian and Kim; a stepgreat granddaughter, Ashley; and lots of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
