Farley, Josephine Smith

Josephine Smith Farley, age 83, of Blacksburg, transitioned to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, January 14, 2021. She was born in Montgomery County, Va. on September 28, 1937 to the late Harvey Ray and Mallie Huffman Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank James Farley, several sisters and brothers.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Glenn Carroll, son, Frank James Farley, Jr., granddaughters, Heather Huff, Deanna Farley, Sydney Farley, great-granddaughter, Aubrey Huff, sisters, Mary Dowdy, Dorothy Reynolds. For the last two years, Josephine found comfort with her babydoll, Jeremiah.

The family wishes to thank all the staff at Highland Ridge Health and Rehab for their dedicated care throughout all the years she was there.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the family, as they would like to purchase baby dolls and teddy bears for the other residents at Highland Ridge Health and Rehab Center.

Graveside service will be conducted Monday, January 18, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Smith Family Cemetery.
