Evans, David Wayne

David Wayne Evans age 51 of Galax, VA formerly of Glen Lyn, VA passed away Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital, Pearisburg, VA. Born October 8, 1960 at Newport News, VA he was the son of Newman Glen Evans of Glen Lyn, VA and the Late Judith Gail Davis Evans.

He had worked in construction as a Millwright, was a member of the Glen Lyn Church of Christ and was a 1979 graduate of Narrows High School.

In addition to his father, survivors include one son Joshua Wayne Evans of Lindside, WV and Joshua’s mother and Wayne’s best friend, Beatrice Frazier of Lindside, WV, one step-daughter, Jessica Fleeman and husband Heath of Narrows, VA; step grandchildren, Caiden and Seth, one brother, Tracey Evans and wife Dee of Montcalm, WV, one sister, Josie L. Evans of Glen Lyn, VA, special friends, Jeff and Amy Turner, several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephew and friends and family of The Grill at Galax, VA.

Graveside Services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Rich Creek, VA with Howard Spencer, Jr., officiating. Friends may call from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, WV. Those wishing to attend the Graveside Services are asked to be at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, WV, at 12:30 PM.
