Estes, Margaret Tolbert
Margaret Tolbert Estes, 72, of Route 1, Box 445 (Littlesburg Road), Bluefield, died on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at her residence.
Born on May 23, 1935 in Radford, Va., she was a daughter of the late Jesse Flayton and Della Mabry Tolbert.
She had been a resident of Littlesburg Road for 40 years and was a member of Brushfork Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was a graduate of Dublin High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Michael Estes.
Survivors include: Husband of 54 years: Harry Kenneth Estes of the home; one son: Heath G. Estes of Bluefield; two daughters: Deborah Whited and husband Larry of Bluefield, Sondra Egnor and husband Mikel of Bluefield; grandsons: David Whited and wife Hannah, Brandon BJ Whited, Dalton Egnor, Colton Egnor; great grandchildren: Alyssa Whited, Ryan Stamper, Tristan Whited, Juliana Whited; one brother: Jesse Raymond Tolbert and wife Maxine of Waynesboro, Va.; sister-in-law: Louise and Frank Alderman; brothers-in-law: Richard Estes, James Estes and wife Kathy; caregiver: Donna Blake; special friends: Jim Cox and Sherry Bailey.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. James Drake officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Donald Compton, Gary Pennington and deacons from the Brushfork Baptist Church serving as pallbearers. Deacon Marilyn Bush will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Friends may call on Friday (today) from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
