Estes Jr., James Burler

James Butler Estes, Jr., 72, of Riner, Va., passed away on July 3, 2009. He was preceded in death by his father, James Estes, Sr., mother, Gustava Estes, brothers, Junior, Don, Phillip, and Roger Estes and one great-grandson, Chase Conner.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Mitchell Estes, of Riner, Va.; two sons, Garry Estes and wife, Sherry ,of Floyd, Va., and Randall Estes and wife, Sandy, of Riner, Va.; two daughters, Patty Noland and husband, Ronnie, of Lawton, Okla., and Jean Marshall and husband, Clinton, of Floyd, Va.; sister, Evelyn Harrison, of Riner, Va.; brother, Fred Estes, of Riner, Va.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and special niece, Tammy Boothe.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Walker officiating. Interment will be in the Thomas Family Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 4, 2009 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Maberry Funeral Home.
