Billy W. (Bill) Estes, 53, of Knoxville, Tenn. and formerly of Radford, Va., passed away Monday, November 26, 2007 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Bill attended Hazmat training school. He loved working on cars and building racing engines. He was also a big fan of NASCAR, and loved a variety of music.

Survivors include wife, Jo Ann Estes; parents, Ed and Catherine Estes of Radford, Va.; son, Charlie Estes of Athens, Ga.; brother, Don Estes of Key West, Fla.; stepdaughters and husbands, Kim and Alan Cantrell, Kara and Clift Lamb, Krista and David Morris, all of Knoxville, Tenn.; several stepgrandchildren; special granddaughter, Kendra Morris; and special friend, Adam Cooper. He also leaves behind his favorite furry companion, Rusty.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in the chapel at Bridges Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Weesner officiating and another funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at East Radford Church of God in Radford, Va. with the Rev. Wayne Poston officiating followed by the interment at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, Tenn. 37909.
