Virginia Mae Hill (Pat) Estep, 71, of Narrows, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Carilion Giles Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born in Burkes Garden, Va. on August 4, 1939, and was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Cecil Jesse Estep; a sister, Jo Ann Biggs; and a stepgrandchild, Virginia Hamlin. She was a faithful member of Riverview Baptist Church, and served as President of the VFW Post 6000 Ladies’ Auxiliary. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Cecil W. Estep, of Narrows and a daughter-in-law, Deborah Estep, of Staffordsville, and Chuckie Estep and wife, Phyllis, of Christiansburg; two daughters, Susan Perkins and husband, Paul, of Narrows, and Linda Dunford and husband, Benny, of Pearisburg; six grandchildren, B.J. Dunford and fiancĂ©e, Bridgett Dunbar, Cecil L. Estep, Michael Perkins, Nikki Perkins, Tiffany Estep, Kimmie Perkins; four step grandchildren, James Hamlin, Robert Hamlin, Sue Hamlin and Michael Hamlin; three stepgreat-grandsons, Darien Fain, Jermaine Woods and Xavier Hamlin. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 24, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with the Rev. Dr. Shahn Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Angels Rest Cemetery.
