Epperly, Troy Lee

Troy Lee Epperly, 93, of Christiansburg, a longtime member of Gateway Baptist Church in Blacksburg, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, April 22, 2008.

The son of the late George Epperly and Essie Bishop Epperly, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Nellie Adams Epperly; daughters, Zona G. Grissom and Betty Jolene Wells, and brothers; Allen V. Epperly and Leon A. Epperly.

He is survived by his son-in-law, Donald L. Grissom; sister, Evelyn E. Richardson; and sister, Marie E. Scaggs and her husband; Emery. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call any time after noon on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at The Home Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2008 in the Home Funeral Home chapel, with Pastor Dewey Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
