Epperly, Helen Furrow

Helen Furrow Epperly, passed away peacefully at her home on March 31, 2006 surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 76, after a long illness with Alzheimer.

She is now at peace and she is in the arms of the Lord. She was a loving wife for 60 years and a loving and caring mother and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by a son, Carl Willard Epperly; her sister, France F. Harvey; and two brothers Woodrow Furrow and Tommy Furrow.

She is survived by her husband, Luther W. Epperly; their four children, daughter, Patricia E. Allen and her husband, Woody Allen, Sr.; three sons, Ritchie Epperly, Barry Epperly and wife, Dianna, Derwin Epperly and wife, Brenda; eight grandchildren, Woody Allen, Jr. and his wife, Cameron, Josh Allen and his wife, Erika, Corissa Epperly, Caleb Epperly, Lucas Epperly, Brittany Epperly, Phillip Epperly, Brooke Epperly; also two great-grandchildren, Woody Allen III and Gaylen Patricia Allen.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Julia Hemphill, the Carilion Hospice and Melissa for the love and care our mother has received through her battle.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, April 2, 2006 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shake Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg.
