Epperly, Freda Dove

Freda Dove Epperly, age 70, of Christiansburg died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at her home. She was born in Montgomery County, VA on March 3, 1943 to the late Clarence and Louvenia Havens Dove, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Woolwine, a brother, Clifford Dove, and a granddaughter, McKensie Sowder. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Epperly, of Christiansburg, three daughters and sons-in-law, Jewel and Rodney Sowder, Robin and Les Bane, Jennifer and Ronnie Cook, all of Christiansburg, son and daughter-in-law, Leslie and Brenda Epperly, of Shawsville, seven grandchildren, Scott Sowder, Cody Sowder, Alexandra Sowder, Andrew and wife, Rachael Bane, Matthew Cook, Luke Cook, Melonie and husband, Landon Ryan, two step-grandchildren, Steven and Barry Lewis, and her puppies, Pete and Trixie. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church, 674 Alleghany Springs Road, Shawsville, Va. with the Rev. Wes Conner, Rev. Wallace Yopp, and Rev. Frankie Graham officiating. Interment will follow in the North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, Ellett, VA. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 pm, Tuesday evening at the Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
