Epperly, Earl Kenneth

Earl Kenneth Epperly, 81, of Christiansburg, died Friday May 29 2015 at his home. He was born in Montgomery County on April 14, 1934 to the late William Dell and Annie Jones Epperly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Dove Epperly, three brothers and two sisters; a granddaughter, McKensie Sowder.

He is survived by three daughters and sons in-law, Jewel and Rodney Sowder, Robin and Les Bane, Jennifer and Ronnie Cook; son and daughter-in-law, Leslie and Brenda Epperly; sister, Marie Morris; brother, Roy “Bus” and Bessie “Tootie” Epperly; grandchildren, Scott Sowder, Cody Sowder, Alexandra Sowder, Andrew and wife, Rachel Bane, Matthew Cook, Luke Cook, Melonie and Husband, Landon Ryan; step-grandchildren, Steven and Barry Lewis; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. Frankie Graham and Rev. Wallace Yopp officiating. Interment will follow in the North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., SW, Blacksburg.
