Epperley, Edgar Lewis

Edgar Lewis Epperley, 89, of Blacksburg, died, Saturday, November 10, 2012, at his home. He was born in Pulaski County, on November 7, 1923 to the late Thomas McKinley and Essie Mae Trail Epperley.

He was preceded in death by brother, Raymond Epperley, and sister, Elizabeth Hedge, grandson, Dean Trail.

He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his daughters, Betty Trail Jackson and husband, Doug, Teresa Wright and husband, James, Lisa Epperley; two grandsons, Daniel Wright and wife, Melia, Jacob Wright; brothers and sisters-in-law, Luther Epperley, Kenneth Epperley and wife, Shelvie; sister-in-law, Christine Epperley.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Scott Souther officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
