Emero, Linda Diane

Linda Diane Emero, 53, of Spruce Run Road, Newport, departed this life Sunday afternoon, August 9, 2015 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA after a long illness.

Born in Fayetteville, NC on September 30, 1961, she was a daughter of the late James T. Brehm and Mary Nelson Brehm Lee. She was a devoted wife and mother, doted on her grandchildren, loved her dogs, and for eighteen years was a faithful military wife moving with her husband in his Army career. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Buddy and Robbie Brehm and her sister Fee Bee Oxendine.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of thirty-five years Michael F. Emero; her daughters Marie O. Emero of Newport and Linda E. Emero of Fredericksburg, VA; her grandchildren Layla, Kaylee, Elijah, and Mason; her brothers Tracy and Steve Brehm of Fayetteville, NC; and her sister Grace Towery of Lakeview, SC.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, with the Rev. Morris Fleischer officiating. Burial will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Dublin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the services.
