Elmore, II, William Emory

Rev. Dr. William Emory Elmore II, 75, passed away at his home in Madisonville, La., on May 20, 2012. Dr. Elmore was the founding pastor of Colonial Avenue Baptist Church in Roanoke as well as the pastor of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ in Radford) for seven years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean C. Elmore; a son, Dr. Paul Elmore and granddaughter, Amelia Kay Elmore, both of Slidell, La.; as well as a brother, E. Whitehead Elmore, of Midlothian, Va.; and nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews. A spreading of the ashes is planned for the near future.
