Ellison, Roy Edward

Roy Edward Ellison, age 60, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at his home in Ballard, WV. Born November 5, 1959, in Pearisburg, VA, he was the son of Shirley Mae Chandler Kennett and the late William Howard Ellison. Roy was a beloved son, brother, father, and Poppaw. His love for collecting eagles and Harley Davidson showed when you visited his home.

Left to cherish Roy’s memory are his mother, Shirley Kennett of Peterstown, WV; companion, Susan McDaniel of the home; two daughters, Brittany McDaniel of Peterstown, WV, and Cristi Ellison (Tim) of Eggleston, VA; two grandsons, Jase and Tucker; two sisters, Kathy Dykeman (Ned) of Peterstown, WV, and Gail Osborne of Pensacola, FL; niece, Missy Weddle (Randy); nephew, Shaun Agee; great nieces, great nephews, aunts, cousins, and many friends whom he loved dearly.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek, VA, with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, June 19, 2020, at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV.
