Ellison, Glen D.

Glen D. Ellison, 90, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Friday, June 21, 2019. Born on June 21, 1929, in Lillybrook, W.Va., he was the son of the late Clarence Lye and Dora Meadows Ellison. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Pugh Ellison; and his sister, Maxine Ellison.

Glen was a former accountant, business manager and United States Army Veteran. He received a degree in accounting from the University of West Virginia. Glen attended Church of the Brethren in Christiansburg, Va., and Roanoke Valley Church in Roanoke, Va.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael G. and Sheila Ellison; step-grandchildren, Drew and Regan; and daughter and son-in-law, Laura E. and William Kelly Studebaker. Other relatives include Sadie Fink of Beckley, W.Va., and David Shumate of Roanoke, Va.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2019, in Oakey’s Roanoke Chapel at 318 Church Ave. SW, Roanoke, VA 24016. Minister Jon Landis, of Roanoke Valley Church, will be officiating. Interment will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019, in Evergreen Burial Park, Roanoke, Va.
