Elliott, Paul Joseph

Paul Joseph Elliott “Joe”, born on October 27th, 1956 of Blacksburg, Virginia passed away Wednesday July 28th, 2021, in his home surrounded by his family and cats. He was born in Blacksburg, Virginia to Linda Elouise Linkous and Paul Edgar Elliott.

Joe was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. Joe had a big heart; he loved and was loved deeply. Joe was a talented and well-known painter in Blacksburg and surrounding areas, he was considered one of the best. Painting was his passion; he painted the town. Joe began working as a painter at an early age with his uncle and father. He taught his younger brother Sammy the trade and they worked alongside of each other for many years.

Joe was preceded in death by his father Paul Elliott, grandmothers Fannie Elliott and Kate Linkous and brother David Elliott. Joe is survived by his mother Linda Elliott, his siblings Sammy Elliott, Betty Elliott, Donna Elliott and Jimmy Elliott. His children Matthew Joseph Dalton, Katelyn Michelle Elliott, Elizabeth Ashley Elliott, and Crystal Dawn Elliott; grandchildren Ezra Paul Jacob Wyatt, Riley Nikole Baldwin, Kayson Huge Wyatt, and Karter Ray Zicafoose. Numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. The love of his life, Cammie Elliott.

We will be forever grateful that God blessed us with him! He will be missed greatly here on Earth, but we know he is with the Lord. We know we will be reunited and rejoice together one day.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Elliott Family Cemetery in Prices Fork. Anyone wishing to attend, should meet Thursday at McCoy Funeral Home between 1:00-1:30 pm.
